Prius Gas Pedal Recall & Floor Mat Recall

About 100 complaints about Prius brakes have been filed in the U.S. as of early Spring 2010.  Have you been injured or hurt in an accident due to a Toyota Prius's sudden acceleration from a faulty gas pedal?  The attorneys at Bailey & Glasser, LLP can provide information on the Toyota class action lawsuit and can determine if you are entitled to any compensation and if you should pursue a Prius floor mat lawsuit

There are a number of auto defects that can cause or aggravate a vehicle accident, such as defective tires, air bags, seat belts, and brakes.  If you or a loved one has been involved in a serious car accident involving your Prius, it may not be obvious that auto defects were involved. Contacting a reputable and qualified attorney at Bailey & Glasser, LLP after an accident involving a defective vehicle is often the best way to protect and maximize your interests.

About a third of the 2010 Prius hybrid models have been recalled by the Japanese auto maker for brake system problems.  Although the Prius is not part of Toyota's vast recall of gas pedals that can become stuck, it is covered by an earlier recall of floor mats that can catch the accelerator. Prius models built from 2004–2009 are included in the floor mat recall.

In all, federal safety regulators said they had received complaints alleging that unintended acceleration in Toyota vehicles caused 52 deaths.

The Prius hybrid car is under investigation by the U.S. Transportation Department for reports of defective brakes in its 2010 model, adding to recalls and safety questions facing the world’s largest automaker.

As of Spring 2010, the  National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has received 124 reports from consumers, including four saying crashes occurred, with two “minor” injuries, according to an investigation document.
